We Three Kings of Orient Are We Wish You a Merry Christmas
What Child Is This? Winter Wonderland

We Three Kings of Orient Are

Words and music by John H. Hopkins

We three kings of Orient are.
Bearing gifts we traverse a-far.
Field and fountain, moor and mountain,
Following yonder star.

CHORUS
O star of wonder, star of night,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westword leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to Thy perfect light.

Born a king on Bethlehem's plain,
Gold I bring to crown Him again.
King forever, ceasing never,
Over us all to reign.

CHORUS

Frankincense to offer have I,
Incense owns a deity nigh.
Prayer and praising, all men raising,
Worship Him, God most high.

CHORUS

Myrrh is mine: its bitter perfume
Breathes of life of gathering gloom;
Sorrowing, sighing, bleeding, dying,
Sealed in the stone cold tomb.

CHORUS

Glorious now behold Him arise;
King and God and sacrifice.
Alleluia, alleluia,
Earth to heaven replies.

CHORUS

We Wish You a Merry Christmas

Traditional English Folk Song

We wish you a merry Christmas,
We wish you a merry Christmas,
We wish you a merry Christmas
And a happy New Year!

Please bring us a figgy pudding,
Please bring us a figgy pudding,
Please bring us a figgy pudding
And a cup of good cheer

Good tidings to you wherever you are;
Good tidings for Christmas and a happy New Year!

What Child Is This?

Words by William C. Dix

What child is this who laid to rest
On Mary's lap is sleeping?
Whom angels greet with anthems sweet,
While shepherds watch are keeping?
This, this is Christ the King;
Whom shepherds guard and angels sing:
Haste, Haste to bring Him laud,
The Babe, the Son of Mary!

Why lies He in such mean estate,
Where ox and ass are feeding?
Good Christian, fear for sinners here,
The silent Word is pleading.
Nails, spears shall pierce Him through,
The cross be borne for me, for you.
Hail, hail the Word made flesh,
The Babe, the Son of Mary!

So bring Him incense, gold and myrrh,
Come peasant, King, to own Him;
The King of kings, salvation brings;
Let loving hearts enthrone Him.
Raise, raise the song on high,
The Virgin sings her lullaby.
Joy, joy for Christ is born,
The Babe, the Son of Mary!

Winter Wonderland

Words by Dick Smith; music by Felix Bernard

Over the ground lies a mantle of white;
A heaven of diamonds shine down thru the night.
Two hearts a thrillin' in spite of the chill in the weather.
Love knows no season; love knows no clime;
Romance can blossom any old time.
Here in the open, we're walkin' and hopin' together!

Sleigh bells ring, are you list'nin'?
In the lane, snow is glist'nin'.
A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight,
Walkin' in a winter wonderland!
Gone away is the bluebird;
Here to stay is the new bird.
He sings a love song as we go along,
Walkin' in a winter wonderland!
In the meadow we can build a snowman,
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown.
He'll say, "Are you married?"
We'll say, "No, man! But you can do the job when you're in town!
Later on, we'll conspire,
As we dream by the fire,
To face unafraid the plans that we made,
Walkin' in a winter wonderland!

Sleigh bells ring, are you list'nin'?
In the lane, snow is glist'nin'.
A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight,
Walkin' in a winter wonderland!
Gone away is the bluebird;
Here to stay is the new bird.
He's singing a song as we go along,
Walkin' in a winter wonderland!
In the meadow we can build a snowman,
And pretend that he's a circus clown.
We'll have lots of fun with Mr. Snowman
Until the other kiddies knock 'im down!
When it snows, ain't it thrillin'?
Tho' your nose gets a chillin',
We'll frolic and play the Eskimo way,
Walkin' in a winter wonderland!
